Problem of Pre-operative Explanations to Patients Concerning Possible Complications and Prognosis

Abstract
|

|
Under existing our medical conditions, the discussion covered the extend of the explanation necessary for pre-operative patients concerning post-operative complications and prognosis.
In case, we require the doctor to give too much detailed information and to assume too much responsibility, it will result in less medical service being given and many necessary medical services will not be undertaken. It is necessary to have rules governing the scope and limitation of explanation given to patients.
Atthe present time, we require a patient´s consent form to be signed but since this form has no legal standing, it is urgent that a standard legally accepted consent form be prepared for the reasonable medical practice.
